Dissertation Research Topic:

Analysis and Control of Interconnected  Systems with Random Communication Delays

Chun-I is a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering. Her research is focused on the optimal control of interconnected systems where the communication delays are randomly time-varying.  Theoretical results and algorithms for this type of control are relevant for a wide variety of applications, including remotely-controlled telerobotic surgery, coordination and control of robotic teams and swarms, and the potential control of semi-automonous microscale and nanoscale medical devices.
